Learn all you need to know to start keeping honey bees in your backyard. In this educational, inspirational and entertaining session, we will share our beekeeping knowledge and how we harvested 160 kg of honey from one hive in a year. We will talk about European honey bees and native bees. Will visit a working beehive. A beehive is a most efficient system providing pollination, honey, pollen, royal jelly, wax and propolis. Bring a light colour long sleeve top, trousers, enclosed shoes and a rimmed hat ( we will provide a protective head net) if you want to visit the working beehive. You will make a bugs hotel to take home.
